In what has been a frantic start, Jess North took a moment out of her busy schedule to tell us a bit about her first week in the job.
My first week in the job:
Exciting! As with all new roles, it was a lot of information to take in. With the ongoing support of all the team, it didn’t take me long to get to grips with it all and I made my first booking! I am very excited for my future.
What made you choose JR?
I have always had a keen interest in the Veterinary space, and the friendliness of Janko made me so keen to apply. I have never felt so at ease making an application before. Her passion for the business and caring nature shines through as soon as you talk to her, and this is echoed by the rest of the team. I am so grateful that Janko trusted me to join the team.
What are your top recruitment tips?
I would always strive for my ‘4 C’s’ – Care, Commitment, Clarity & Connections. I believe with this ethos; you build positive relationships and ensure full support for clients and candidates alike. Recruitment can be busy and stressful, but it is such a rewarding role, and I am thankful for the opportunity to work in a new industry.
What are the main differences working in the veterinary recruitment industry?
The passion and care from both clients, candidates, and other recruiters! It really has felt like stepping into a huge family. Everyone I have had the pleasure of speaking to so far, is so helpful and happy to support you however they can.
